Now is the time to support the new generation of farmer leaders that will shift the power and shape the future of U.S. agriculture. This year, we’re welcoming young farmers and ranchers – and our passionate supporters and advocates – into a new campaign to realize our collective vision of a just, hopeful, and bright future.
Together, we’ll focus on three strategies:
Fostering Farmer Leadership
There’s a place for you to enrich your leadership skills in advocating for a future where all farmers can thrive.
- Get involved with a local farmer-led chapter.
- Be a press advocate.
- Apply for a nonpartisan leadership role on agricultural boards, water boards, or FSA committees in your area.
Forging Community Partnerships
Farmers, ranchers, and food system activists like you care deeply about strong relationships that deliver meaningful policy change! Build bonds through programs, workshops, and campaigns at the community level.
- Establish and deepen local campaign work with community-based organizations.
- Join a Young Farmers Book Club.
- Build a relationship with your public officials by hosting a farm visit or inviting them to a community work day.
Developing Supportive Policies
Farmers have unparalleled lived experience that makes them the best advocates for their own futures.
- Share your story of challenges, needs, or hopes as a farmer with our policy team .
- Testify or represent your farm’s priorities in front of Congress.
- Participate in a listening session or host your own! Let us know what you hear.
Let us know how you want to be involved!
Let us know if you would like more information on these approaches in the form below. Once we recieve your reponse, you will receive an invite to a webinar to learn more about these strategies and meet with our staff to discuss how you would like to be involved.
