The National Young Farmers Coalition The National Young Farmers Coalition (Young Farmers) represents, mobilizes, and engages young farmers to ensure their success. Since our founding in 2010, we have grown our grassroots network to over 200,000 individuals and partner organizations. We give young farmers tools to become leaders in their communities, building an effective political voice at the local, state, and national level. Together, we tackle the most critical structural and economic barriers that prevent motivated young people from starting and growing successful farm businesses—including access to affordable farmland, student debt, climate change, healthcare, racial inequities, and more. We have won historic investments in beginning farmer training, outreach to farmers of color, and farmland conservation. Our advocacy for a USDA Farm Service Agency microloan resulted in a loan program in every county that has served more than 30,000 farmers.
Young Farmers seeks a Corporate Engagement Manager to manage our corporate giving portfolio and serve as an integral member of the development team. The Corporate Engagement Manager will work in partnership with the Development team in executing a year-round strategic relationship plan to establish new, and strengthen existing, partnership relationships and assist corporate partners in meeting their philanthropic goals. The Corporate Engagement Manager will bring skills in relationship management, including ability to inspire corporate partners with verbal pitches, writing compelling written proposals and sponsorship materials, identifying creative strategies for engagement, and strong organizational skills to track our robust network of corporate partners and prospects. Finally, you will play a role in our organizational events and special projects, supporting corporate partner involvement in our events and advocacy, soliciting funding for special projects, and identifying and facilitating opportunities for in-kind contributions.
In alignment with our commitment to racial equity, the right candidate for this role will be excited to take on the challenge of managing and building a network of corporate partners and eager to educate them about equity in agriculture and the needs of the next generation of young and BIPOC farmers.
